Maca Live™ is available in vegetarian
capsules and in a pure powder form. Taking capsules
are self-explanatory; just follow the directions
on the label and you're good to go. Keep in
mind that though capsules are a convenient and
popular method of delivery, they are also significantly
more expensive on a per gram basis because you
are paying for the additional cost of encapsulation
and packaging.
The most economical method of delivery is MACA
LIVE™ powder. Our powder is either the
pure organic raw powder or the extra charged
Gelatinized. Some say the Gelatinized mixes
in more easily and tastes better than regular
Maca powder. However, the Gelatinized is heat
treated. It is without the fiber, and some nutrients.
Maca Live™ powder is very versatile; it
can be mixed with water or any warm or cold
beverage or food. The following is one of our
favorite smoothie recipes -- it tastes great
and can be a complete meal in itself in just
minutes:
The
Maca Live™ Energizing Smoothie:
- 1 ripe banana, and/or apple and berries
- 1 cup of coconut milk or water
- 1/4 cup freshly ground flax seeds
- 1 helping tablespoon SuperFood, or green live
powder
- 1 helping tablespoon Maca Live powder
- 2 helping tablespoons of your favorite protein
powder or
- 1 or 2 organic free range raw eggs
- 1 teaspoon colostrum powder
Start by blending the fruit and water until
smooth and with the blender still on gradually
add the remaining ingredients. The protein (eggs)
and colostrum should be added last and only
be blended just long enough to mix them in.
This recipe makes enough for two regular servings
or one giant one! Take this in lieu of breakfast
for a week and you'll know what it means to
feel Maca Live.
MACA BALLS - a tasty
and healthy treat:
Mix your favorite nut butters
(preferrably raw and organic) and raw honey:
3 parts nut butter to one part honey and one
part Maca Live™. Mix and roll into balls.
For varity roll in cocanut, crushed nuts, chocolate,
use your imagination.

Maca Live powder has a pleasant, mildly malty
flavor , butterscotch-like aroma that works
well when added to many foods such as cereal
(warm or cold as MACA LIVE™ is not adversely
affected by low heat), salads, salad dressing,
soup or yogurt.
Maca Live™ powder can also be added as
a dry ingredient to baked goods such as muffins,
pancakes, cookies etc. It is recommended to
use the already heat treated Gelatinized Maca
Live™ when cooking.
Maca Live™ can be taken before, with or
after meals. As a general rule of thumb, take
2,500mg. 10,000mg. daily, best split into 2-3
servings. Maca Live™ is a natural whole
food and taking less than 2,500 mg. daily may
not give you the results that maca is famous
for.
If you find you aren't getting the results you
want, try increasing the amount.
With Maca Live™, it is difficult to take
too much and it is proven to be safe at amount.
